Junior Classical League
The Junior Classical League is an engaging and fun extension of the
Latin curriculum.
The National Junior Classical League (NJCL) is a sub-division of the
American Classical League (ACL) who dedicate themselves to the
preservation of the classics (Greek and Latin). The motto of both is
"Excellence through the Classics." Meetings are based on
a variety of topics. Here's a sampling:
1. Latin in Popular Culture: (watched and discussed the Latin in Harry
Potter)
2. Latin in the Roman Catholic Church
3. Ancient Religious Customs (i.e. Roman mythology and practice)
4. Roman Culture and Civiization (possibly to consist of a banquet
where we
serve Classical Roman dishes and recline at table to eat).
If you need more information on the NJCL itself, feel free to visit
