Math Club

Composed of students in 11th and 12th grades, the math team participates in two different competitions.  The Pennsylvania Mathematics League holds six competitions each year, which are very challenging to every student.  MATHFAX is designed to improve test taking skills, SAT scores and general mathematics ability.  There are four competitions each year.  Both competitions are held at Seton-LaSalle High School after school and take 30 minutes to complete.  Last year our top scorer was also the highest scorer in our division in the MATHFAX competition.  These competitions involve topics in Algebra, Geometry and Advanced Math.  For 9th and 10th grade students, in-school competitions covering Algebra and Geometry topics are available and will prepare these students for later inter-scholastic competitions.
