Financial Assistance is available at Seton-La Salle to ANY CATHOLIC STUDENT who feels that they are unable to pay the full amount of tuition. All information provided on your application or in support of it will be treated with the utmost confidence. Financial awards are based upon an independent, objective assessment of need by the Private School Aid Service (PSAS) and upon the funds available from:

The Bishop's Education Fund - Educational grants from this fund specifically assist students in Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. The total amount of grant money available for the upcoming school year will depend on the pledges received and the investment earnings of the fund. School Aid - Monies through this fund are need-based grants awarded by the individual schools. These finds may include school grants and grants from special funds, a significant portion of which comes from the Parish Share Program (PSP).

How To Apply

The Private School Aid Service (PSAS) applications are available in January of the year the student wishes to enroll or wishes to apply for aid. This form is used to determine financial need for the sources of aid listed above and can be mailed to interested families upon request or can be obtained at any catholic high school or elementary school in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and include the required documentation. YOU MUST OBTAIN YOUR PASTOR'S SIGNATURE ON THE FORM, however, you do have the option of having the pastor sign a partially completed form. which does not contain your financial information.

Mail the PSAS form, the required supporting materials, and the fee directly to the Private School Aid Service. DO NOT SEND THE APPLICAT10N TO THE SCHOOL. You only need to submit one application per family which will cover all of your children in the catholic schools of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. The deadline for submitting applications will be March 2006.

March 2008 -Deadline for the PSAS Application to be mailed to the Private School Aid Service

May 2008 - Notification of complete aid packages sent from the high schools to parents of ninth grade students.

June 2008 - Notification of complete aid packages sent from the high schools to parents of upperclassmen.
