Each year the diocese recognizes a young person from every Catholic High School and deanery who has given witness to the presence of Christ through his or her service to the Church.  This year, Emily Zaccharo was given the award for demonstrating exceptional service at Seton-La Salle.

Congratulations to Katie Welsh

Freshman Katherine "Katie" Welsh was recently named a Carson Scholars Fund Awardee and will receive a $1000 monetary award for her college education at a luncheon on Sunday, May 4, 2008.  The Carson Scholars Fund recognizes and rewards students in grades 4-11 who earn the highest level of academic achievement and who display strong humanitarian qualities.

 

Congratulations to Natalie Doerr

Senior Natalie Doerr has been selected for the Pennsylvania Big 33 Cheerleading Squad. Natalie will cheer at the Big 33 Football Game this summer as well as spend a week preparing and doing community service with her fellow cheerleaders.  Natalie said, “It was the most intense tryout I’ve ever been through.”

Natalie will attend several functions as a member of the Big 33 Cheerleading Squad including Big Brother / Big Sister functions, Special Needs Buddy activities and more. The week of June 7 - 14 will be her biggest commitment to practice and prepare for the big game in Hershey on June 14.
