SLS Development Office

Seton-La Salle's Development Office manages the school's fund-raising campaigns and special events.

The cornerstone of the Development Office continues to be the Annual Fund for Tuition Assistance. Graduates of Seton-La Salle, Elizabeth Seton, and South Hills Catholic High Schools, and other community friends are instrumental in the success of this campaign.  Last year, about $140,000 in tuition assistance was given to our students because of your direct Annual Fund contributions and enthusiastic participation in school events. 

Another critical tool is the Commonwealth of PA's Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC).  EITC allows PA businesses to contribute to Seton-La Salle's scholarship fund and receive state tax credits for up to 90 percent.  Last year, $250,000 in aid was made possible to SLS students because of PA businesses that participated in this program.

The Development Office publishes the biannual newsletter "The SLS Review" and coordinates the Hall of Fame Recognition ceremony. Planning has begun for the 16th Annual Green & Gold Gala Dinner Auction
If you would like to be involved in the planning of the Green & Gold Gala, SLS' largest fundraiser, please contact Amy Ganser at gansera@slshs.org or (412) 561-3583 x136.  All family, alumni and friends are urged to join SLS for this annual event. 

Proceeds fund technology needs and academic and classroom tools, and support the high school's teaching and learning capabilities. Funds have been used to purchase computer labs, Smartboards, microscopes, school-wide access to the T1 internet line, and the latest education, student information and security software. 

Thank you to everyone who made the 15th Annual Gala a success.  SLS raised just over $130,000.  Funds helped us create a digital music lab in the band room, and purchased internet access, software upgrades, and a new computer lab!

Merrick Recognition Wall
The Recognition Wall is almost filled.  If you haven't yet ordered your tile to commemorate your special person, event, team or teacher, now is the time. There are only three  4" x 8" tiles remaining.   This tile  allows 12 characters/spaces per line on three lines and costs $200.
