Instrumental Music Lessons
This is a class for people who are a bit 'rusty' on their musical instruments or people who have never played an instrument before. The class is designed to move at each student's individual speed. The student earns .5 credits toward the one credit Fine Arts graduation requirement. The class is open to Keyboard players and instrumentalist alike. Mention the Instrumental Music Lessons when you register.

Chorus
The Chorus class meets during the regular school day for which participants earn half a credit towards their one credit Fine Arts graduation requirement. The mixed chorus (boys & girls) enjoys singing all types of songs old and new. The chorus performs at the Christmas and Spring Concerts. Mention your interest in the chorus at registration time.

Music Appreciation
This class looks at the enjoyment of music through the discovery of its elements, rhythm, melody harmony, and color. The course includes a discussion of the history of music and the music makers. Students will learn about the way music has been created from ancient times to today’s use of electronics and computers in its creation. Students will appreciate the important role music has in our lives.

Exploring Music Technology
This course takes a hands on approach to learning about MIDI, mixers, microphones, amplifiers, multi track recorders, sequencers, synthesizers, analog, digital, music on the internet, music sync to video, and live sound reinforcement. Students will learn the magic of state of the art music production in our modern world. Students do not have to play an instrument to take this class.

The Jazz Band
The Jazz Band is an extra curricular activity in which musicians experiment with the jazz and pop rock styles. The band includes the electronic keyboard, electric guitar and bass, and drum set.
The band is a great organization and new members are always welcome.

Flute Choir
The Flute Choir is an extra curricular activity in which flute players come together to play specific literature writing to explore the range, color and beauty of the flute.

Brass Ensemble
The Brass Ensemble is an extra curricular activity in which students, who play trumpet, trombone, baritone, french horn, euphonium, and tuba, come together to explore the vast body of literature written for this arrangement of instruments.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered on all band instruments, keyboard, guitar, and bass guitar by appointment. Adult students are welcome to participate as well.

Band Program for Seventh and Eight Grade Students
The Seton-La Salle 'Rebel' Marching Band has a program to include 7th and 8th grade students from its feeder schools. The program welcomes students to participate in the high school band camp, after school band rehearsals, varsity football game performances, and the Kennywood Park “Fall Fantasy” parade.  It's a great opportunity to experience marching band. Don't worry if you haven't ever marched before, we show you how. It's easy and fun! This opportunity also gives students a chance to experience a bit of High School life.
