Congratulations to Rebels Girls Lacrosse Head Coach, Mr. Brian Klisavage, '83, who was named the WPIAL 2A Coach of the Year! This is Klisavage's 4th time being named Coach of the Year — 2007, 2011, 2018 and 2019. This year's honor was a tie between Klisavage and Blackhawk's Coach Kevin White. Klisavage is pictured above with this season's captains, seniors Madison Eidemueller, Sarah Farnan, Margaret Rodgers, and Cameron Trautman.

Under the direction of Klisavage, the Rebels went 10-3 in the regular season this year. The girls made it past the WPIAL Quarterfinals with a 10-8 win over Mars before falling to Oakland Catholic 10-15 in the WPIAL Semifinals.

Midfielders Sarah Farnan, '19 and Olivia Edkins, '21, were both named to the All-Section team, in addition to defender Meredith Blamer, '20 and goalie Mikaela Staranko, '20. Farnan also received her second nod to the All-WPIAL team, scoring 61 goals and 20 assists in 15 games this season. Staranko, also named to the All-WPIAL team, went 11-4 in goal for the Rebels this season with a save percentage over 58%. Edkins scored 60 goals this season — setting a new sophomore record — and is the fastest player in Rebels Girls Lacrosse history to notch 100 career goals.

Congratulations to Coach Klisavage, and to the entire Rebels Girls Lacrosse team on a fantastic season!
