February 9-10, our Forensics Team competed at the two-day Bethel Park Black Hawk invitational. There were 40 schools covering three different states, and over 800 competitors. SLS had 14 team members competing in various categories. Out of those 14, 10 Rebels made it to quarterfinals, give qualified for semifinals, and two advanced to finals. This is the best the SLS Forensics Team has ever done at this tournament.
Ava Dursi, '22; Sophia Messina, '21, and Daphne Cohen, '22, made it to quarterfinals in Poetry. Anoushka Markose, '21, made it to finals and placed 5th in Poetry. Emily McElhany, '21, made it to quarterfinals in Humorous Interpretation. Jessica Mueller, '22, made it to quarterfinals in Prose. Juliana Gahr, '20; Adeline Meinert, '22, and Hadia Killang, '21, made it to semifinals in Prose, and Sam Carroll, '20, made it to finals and placed 6th in Prose. Congratulations to all on a successful competition!
