Bishop David Zubik officially appointed Lisa Osterhaus as President of Seton LaSalle Catholic High School on January 9, 2018, effective immediately. The position of President involves promoting the school's Catholic identity and academic excellence, fundraising and development, alumni and public relations, and board oversight.
"I commend you for your willingness to undertake these responsibilities," Bishop Zubik said in his appointment letter to Osterhaus. "Your longstanding commitment to Seton LaSalle High School, as well as your leadership and skills, give us every confidence in your ability to succeed."
"My passion for Catholic education stems from my experiences as a student, from what I've witnessed with my three children in Catholic elementary and high schools, and from my work," Lisa Osterhaus said. "It is an exciting time at Seton LaSalle, with plans for many upgrades and enhancements to the curriculum and facility. We are proud to be educating the next generation of leaders."
Osterhaus most recently served as director of stewardship and director of advancement at St. Louise de Marillac Parish and School in Upper St. Clair. She also co-founded an investment advisory firm and worked in marketing. Her expertise includes finance, sales, marketing, fundraising, admissions, and donor and alumni relations.
"Lisa developed a comprehensive marketing plan, which excelled in the recruitment and retention of students and substantially increased interest from benefactors in supporting our school," Father Joseph Sioli wrote in a letter of recommendation. "Her contributions are rooted in her own Catholic faith and desire to serve and contribute to the mission of the church."
As her first major fundraising opportunity, Lisa successfully organized and hosted Seton LaSalle's annual Gala event on February 10th at South Hills Country Club. We are very pleased to announce that the Gala raised over $122,000 for the school! Over 250 guests enjoyed an evening of fun, great food, and wonderful entertainment as we honored Mr. Chuck Rutter for his years of service to the school.
We are grateful that Lisa has joined the team and look forward to serving you and your family in the future.
