Madison Witkowski, '19, has role in "Annie" at Byham Theatre

Shout out to Madison Witkowski, '19 (pictured right), who recently performed as one of the Boylan Sisters in Annie Oct. 25-28 at the Byham Theatre in Pittsburgh's Cultural District.

The Boylan Sisters' roles are featured in the song, "Never Fully Dressed," where they sing in a three-part harmony on the radio show. Madison played Bonnie, who sings the middle harmony line. Witkowski says this was especially exciting for her — since she normally sings the melody, she enjoyed the change of pace that comes with singing harmony.

Witkowski says the audition process was fast-paced — she had just a couple days to learn the part before she had a formal audition for the role. During the show's four-day run at the Byham Theatre, Witkowski performed the show six times: twice on Thursday and Friday, and once on Saturday and Sunday.
"It was incredible to perform at the Byham with Pittsburgh Muscal Theatre and the entire CAPA orchestra," Witkowski said.

Congratulations, Madison! The entire Seton LaSalle community is so proud of your accomplishments, in the classroom and on the stage!
