Kelly Bench, '19, and Zachary Wells, '19, both represented Seton LaSalle this winter at the Westinghouse Science Honors Institute (WSHI), completing a certificate in their engineering program.

Once the school provides information about each nominated student, those students then write a brief essay about their interest in science and why they are interested in participating in WSHI. Each nominated student must also include a letter of recommendation from their respective science teacher. WSHI consists of 13 Saturday-morning lectures spanning from October through March, covering various topics in science and engineering. The mission of the WSHI is to allow students to gain insight into careers in engineering and science. They are given the opportunity to network with professionals working in related industries and to interact with students from other schools who have the same abilities and interests.

Congratulations, Kelly and Zach!
