Marching Band

DIRECTOR: MR. MICHAEL COLUMBUS

THE SETON LASALLE REBEL MARCHING BAND INCLUDES THE MUSICIANS, THE REBELETTES DANCE TEAM AND THE SILKS DRILL TEAM.

The band performs at all football games and at the Christmas and Spring Concerts. Other activities the band participates in during the year are the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh, Kennywood Park Fall Fantasy Parade, a Memorial Day Parade, pep rallies, and band festivals. Auditions for Rebelettes and Silks are held separately each spring. The band goes on a performance trip each spring. Past trips include New York City, Ocean City, Virginia Beach, Chicago, Walt Disney World and Nashville.

The Rebels Marching Band placed first in their class at the PIMBA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association) Competition at Moon High School in 2019. This marked the marching band's first year in judged competitions.

SIDE-BY-SIDE PROGRAM FOR 8TH GRADE STUDENTS

The Seton LaSalle Rebel Marching Band has a program that includes 8th grade students from our partner schools. The program welcomes students to participate in the high school band camp, after school band rehearsals, varsity football game performances, and the Kennywood Park Fall Fantasy parade. It's a great opportunity to experience marching band. If you've never marched before, don't worry –– we'll show you how. It's an easy, fun opportunity that gives students a chance to experience a glimpse of high school life.

ALUMNI INVOLVEMENT

Each homecoming game, Rebel Marching Band alumni are invited to bring their instruments and join our musicians on the field for the halftime show. Any interested alumni should contact Mr. Michael Columbus, Director, at [email protected] for information on how to get involved.
