While SLS doesn't have a track team, as a WPIAL member school, we can send individuals in events to compete in qualifiers and finals. Our athletes train mostly on their own or in small groups.
In 2016, senior Raja Rutherford became the first Seton LaSalle Rebel to medal twice at the PIAA Championships!
Rutherford's long jump of 18 feet, 8 ¾ inches earned her 3rd place. In the 200, Rutherford posted a time of 25.55 seconds, earning 6th place. The success at states capped what was a terrific season for Rutherford, who finished second in the long jump and fourth in both the 100 and 200 at the WPIAL championships.
