Lauren Martin appointed to Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Pittsburgh

Dear Friends and Families of Seton LaSalle Catholic High School:

It is with great joy and pride that I share Bishop David Zubik’s appointment of our Principal, Lauren Martin to the position of Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Pittsburgh effective July 1, 2024. This significant advancement is a testament to Mrs. Martin's leadership, unwavering dedication, and steadfast commitment to our school community.

Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Martin has embodied the spirit of Saint John Baptist de La Salle and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, leading with compassion, humility, and a profound faith in God. She is now being called to utilize her God-given gifts and talents to guide all of our schools in the Diocese with grace and integrity, nurturing the hearts and minds of our students and faculty alike.

As we celebrate Mrs. Martin’s new position, we also embark on a new chapter in the life of our school. We recognize the need for a new leader who will continue to uphold the values and traditions that make our school community so special. The search for a new Principal who will take us to the next level of excellence will begin immediately.

We are confident that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the support of our entire community, we will identify a leader who shares our commitment to Catholic education and our mission to foster academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service to others.

During this transition period, I ask for your prayers and support for Mrs. Martin as she assumes this new role, and for our school community as we prepare to welcome a new Principal into our midst. May God continue to bless our school abundantly as we move forward together in faith and hope.

In Faith and Charity,

Lisa C. Osterhaus
