Seton LaSalle Catholic High School (Mt. Lebanon/City area of Pittsburgh) seeks qualified candidates for the Head Softball Coach position open immediately. The Ideal candidate should have knowledge of coaching techniques and WPIAL/PIAA rules and regulations. Must be able to develop fundamental skills, teach strategies and provide team building. Ideal candidates have prior high school/college coaching experience; strong communication skills; promote good sportsmanship and student development; a commitment to upholding the mission of our school in a manner that is consistent with our Catholic values.

Training players
Choosing new members
Organizing practice sessions
Flexible schedule
Help setting up/ maintaining the field
Teaching, recommending and enforcing safe techniques
Instruct students on healthy stretching, lifting and jumping
Consulting with teachers to ensure students keep up with their grades while participating on the baseball team
Addressing behavioral and learning issues with parents appropriately
Effectively communicating with a diverse group of athletes, coaches and game officials
Supporting the Catholic mission of the school
Required experience and skills:
Softball coaching or playing experience
Coaching, teaching or training experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated
Creative
Ability to provide constructive criticism
Administrative skills
Organizational skills
Safety awareness
Flexible work schedule
