Summary
The Campus Minister fosters the spiritual life and faith formation of the entire school community, including students, parents, faculty, and staff. Following the charismatic legacies of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. John Baptist de La Salle, the Campus Minister fosters an environment where students can encounter Christ, grow in Catholic discipleship, and live out the call to servant leadership. Through well-designed, dynamic programming and a strong Catholic witness, the Campus Minister plays an essential role in maintaining an intentional Catholic identity worthy of the mission of Christ’s Church.
The Campus Minister reports to the Principal and collaborates with the President, school chaplains, and the Campus Ministry team. This individual is responsible for oversight of the entire Campus Ministry program, including:
● Pastoral Ministries
● Liturgical Ministries
● Retreats
● Community Service
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pastoral Ministries
● Provide spiritual development for faculty, staff, and administration to ensure they understand and participate fully in the school's mission.
● Engage students in co- and extra-curricular activities that allow them to explore and share their faith with each other (i.e., Young Knights of Columbus, Little Flowers Club, Rebels for Life, Peer Ministry)
● Provide opportunities for prayer and faith witness on both small and large scales, both during the school day and outside of regular school hours
● Provide opportunities for families to engage in faith development activities with their SLS children
● Promote youth events at local parishes, Catholic colleges, and universities in the area 1000 McNeilly Road

● Oversee, in conjunction with the school chaplains, all prayer, worship, sacramental, liturgical, and paraliturgical activities of the school.
● Maintain a school-wide calendar of all sacramental and liturgical opportunities
● Organize regular opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharistic Adoration.
● Coordinate liturgical ministries, training students as altar servers, lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, and hospitality ministers.
● Oversee the school’s OCIA program in collaboration with local parishes, school chaplains, and parents/guardians Retreats
● Develop and implement a comprehensive, four-year retreat arc that addresses the developmental and spiritual needs of each grade level (Freshman–Senior).
● Recruit, train, and mentor student leaders and faculty moderators for retreat teams.
● Manage all retreat logistics, including site selection, transportation, and materials.
● Promote diocesan-sponsored youth events and retreats to all students, particularly those sponsored by the Secretariat for Evangelization & Catholic Education and the Department for Youth and Young Adult Ministry. Community Service
● Implement and manage the community service hour program for both in-school and out-of-school service opportunities to foster a culture of service among our students.
● Plan and supervise a summer mission trip.
● Stay in contact with students about organizations that may need volunteers and service opportunities.
● Other duties as assigned by the Principal
Minimum Qualifications
The applicant must have a dedication and commitment to carrying out the school's mission and be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Experience: At least 3 years of Campus Ministry or Youth Ministry experience is preferred, but not required.
