Seton LaSalle Catholic High School (Mt. Lebanon/City area of Pittsburgh) seeks qualified candidates for the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Head coach position open immediately. The Ideal candidate should have knowledge of coaching techniques and WPIAL/PIAA rules and regulations. Must be able to develop fundamental skills, teach strategies and provide team building. Ideal candidates have prior high school/college coaching experience; strong communication skills; promote good sportsmanship and student development; a commitment to upholding the mission of our school in a manner that is consistent with our Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities Include:
● Training players
● Choosing team members
● Assist in hiring a coaching staff
● Organizing practices
● Teaching, recommending, and enforcing safe techniques
● Instruct students on healthy stretching, lifting, and jumping
● Addressing behavioral and learning issues with parents appropriately
● Effectively communicating with a diverse group of athletes, coaches, and game officials
● Supporting the Catholic mission of the school
● Working with the team booster organization
● Lacrosse coaching or playing experience
● Coaching, teaching or training experience
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Administrative skills
● Organizational skills
● Safety awareness
● Flexible work schedule
