Last week, six of our students: Landon Frantz, ‘27, Triniti Richardson, ‘28, Audrey Paciorkowski, ‘29, Rileigh Carmona, ‘29, CJ Widman, ‘28, and Devin Gonsar, ‘27, participated in the Rite of Entrance as part of our OCIA program. Co-Chaplain and Alumnus, Father John Kist, ‘15, helped prepare them and celebrated the Rite. Father Kist, '15 stated, "These students have met frequently throughout the year to learn about the Catholic faith, to learn to pray, and to encounter God. This step represents their response, a response that ultimately leads to becoming a full member of the Catholic faith. OCIA is one of the ways that the Lord draws new members to his family, the Church. These students have been drawn by the Lord and have begun to answer his call.".
These students have taken the next step in a process that will hopefully culminate at Easter. While some of our religion classes and students were able to attend in person, the entire Seton LaSalle community is thrilled to support and joyfully welcome them to the fullness of life in Christ!
