Designed with creativity in mind, our Innovation Lab is a hub for thinkers and inventors.

With continual upgrades and new technology for student use and experimentation, students can take complex tasks from concept to execution, growing through design, engineering, and coding.

The Innovation Lab also includes an iMac editing studio equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud, giving students hands-on experience with industry-leading creative and design software, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and more. Our Modern Media classes use these professional tools to develop students’ skills in graphic design, digital media, video production, and visual storytelling. Students also put these skills into practice through the Rebel Report, our student newspaper, which is designed and produced using Adobe Creative Cloud.

PRODUCTION STUDIO

Each morning, students take center stage in our professional-grade Production Studio to produce and live-stream Rebel News, Seton LaSalle’s student-run daily morning announcements, directly to homerooms throughout the school. Led by students in our Broadcast Journalism class, Rebel News gives students authentic, hands-on experience in every aspect of broadcast production—from writing and reporting to interviewing, camera operation, directing, audio, graphics, and live production.

SLS SPORTS BROADCASTING

Students work together as a real production team, developing the communication, collaboration, creativity, and technical skills needed to succeed in today’s media-driven world. These live broadcasts are done through Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and HUDL, where a library of student-created, produced, and performed broadcasts is cataloged. Students use the skills developed in the studio to use OBS, HUDL, and Production Truck to bring live sports streams of Rebel varsity athletics. These skills include graphic overlays, picture-in-picture, RTMP streaming, scoreboard integration, replays, and more. Beyond delivering the news and announcements that keep our school community informed and connected, Rebel News gives students a unique opportunity to build confidence, take ownership, and put classroom learning into practice in a professional studio environment.

POWERING THE FUTURE

Seton LaSalle’s modern Computer Lab provides students with a dedicated space for hands-on learning in computer science, coding, and technology. The lab supports a range of computer courses and classroom instruction while giving students the opportunity to develop valuable skills in programming, problem-solving, and digital technology. The space also serves as a competitive hub for our Division I Esports program, where students train and compete against other schools in organized esports competition.
