"First and foremost, READ the attached Encyclical in full. Do not procrastinate; do not be afraid of the document. If you have the capability to do so, print it out, so that you can highlight and scribble notes in the margins as you read.
Look up words which you are unfamiliar with. You will be tested on it before the end of the first week of school. It will become one of the ""backbone"" documents for our course this coming year, as it deals with morality and the calling of all persons of ""good will"" to use their charisms for the betterment of mankind through their individual and communal vocational calling(s).
In relation to your reading and consideration of the document, WRITE/CREATE three (3) reflection questions... not to ""stump"" your classmates, but to actively engage them in the weighting of the document, as we discuss it together. I will place, shortly, a slot on the NEW GCR for your course, where these can be turned in when you are ready to do so -- before the first day of school. (*You WILL get an invitation to join the class. I am awaiting rosters.) You will be able to post/ask pertinent questions there for me as well!"
