Get Involved

Campus Ministry provides a variety of ways for students to get involved and go deeper with their faith. This includes clubs and groups that meet regularly as well as pilgrimages and opportunities for service. This is just a sampling of the many ways to get involved!
Coffee and Catholicism
Do you like coffee? What about growing your faith through real conversations with peers? In Coffee and Catholicism, we bond over a shared love of caffeinated beverages and Jesus Christ. Coffee and Catholicism meets during Rebel Recreation periods and is hosted by Mr. Astle.
The Little Way
The Little Way is a student-run faith club inspired by St. Therese of Lisieux. In her autobiography, Story of a Soul, St. Therese described her spirituality as the "little way of trust and love" in God. The Little Way meets monthly to discuss various topics to help students grow in faith through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship.
You can find The Little Way on Instagram @thelittleway.sls
Men's Bible Study
There will be a young men's Bible study with guided questions for any male faculty or students interested. This is an opportunity for fellowship with your peers and adults to discuss the masculine virtues and how we can live out of vocation as men in the modern world. This is done through a common reading of various parts of Scripture. Men's Bible Study meets during Rebel Recreation periods and is hosted by Mr. Ayer.
Rosary
Students and faculty gather weekly to pray the Rosary for various pro-life causes, the needs of the Seton LaSalle community and any intentions that we hold in our hearts. The Rosary begins in the chapel at 7:25 on Wednesday mornings, and concludes in time for homeroom. (Do you arrive after 7:25? No problem! You are welcome to join the Rosary already in progress.) For questions, contact Mr. Klisavage.
Rebels for Life
Rebels for Life is a student club dedicated to upholding the dignity of life at all stages. Each year, students attend the national March for Life in Washington, DC. They have also visited Mary's Place, a local pregnancy resource center. For questions, contact Mr. Klisavage.
The Red Door
Each week, students volunteer at the Red Door, an outreach of Divine Mercy parish downtown. Students who volunteer assemble and distribute lunches, serve coffee to visitors, organize clothing donations, and assist in the food pantry. If you're interested in signing up, contact Mrs. Herzog.
Music Ministry
Psalm 92 says, "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to thy name, O Most High" and St. Augustine famously said that, "He who sings well prays twice." Student musicians form the choir at every Mass, both in the chapel and for all-school Mass. Students who are interested in participating as a singer or instrumentalist should contact Ms. Fitzgibbon.
Liturgical Ministry
There are many opportunities for students to get involved in the school's liturgical life, both for class Mass in the chapel and for all-school Masses. We are always looking for dedicated students to be lectors and altar servers. For all-school Masses, students are needed to operate the slides that display responses.
If you are interested in being a lector or altar server, contact Mrs. Hirst. If you are interested in learning how to operate the slides for all-school Masses, contact Mr. Astle.
Pilgrimages
On various occasions, students have the opportunity to participate in pilgrimages to shrines near and far. In recent years, students have completed a lenten walking pilgrimage to the Saint Sharbel Spiritual Life Center at Our Lady of Victory Maronite Catholic Church. They also took a bus pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
